According to Greg Turner of the Boston Herald.Com’s Biz Smart, Skanska USA Commercial Development along with Twining Properties officially announced plans for the project today for a 300-unit apartment tower in Seaport Square on the South Boston waterfront. The project will also include about 25,000 square feet of retail space.
“The plan for a mix of uses will allow for the creation of a dynamic neighborhood where people will want to live, work and play,” said Shawn Hurley, Skanska’s regional manager, in a statement.
The complex, called Watermark Seaport, will be located at the corners of Seaport Boulevard and Boston Wharf Road. The area was a massive parking lot owned by mostly by real estate magnate and bankrupt Los Angeles Dodgers owner Frank McCourt.
